In time of need
رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir
My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.
What this supplication is
Musa's (peace be upon him) words as a stranger at the well in Madyan: I am in need of whatever good You send down to me. The Qur'an uses it for the moment of genuine need, when the request is handed over wholesale — any good, from You.
When to recite it
In need, poverty or helplessness; as a prayer of complete dependence.
