Accessibility

Destiny Map is built so that as many people as possible can use it — with keyboards, screen readers, low vision, or on any screen size. Accessibility is part of the design, not an add-on.

Keyboard first

Every interactive element — links, buttons, toggles, tabs, dialogs — is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link at the top of every page.

Screen readers

Landmarks (header, main, nav, footer), semantic headings, descriptive labels on every form field, and aria attributes only where genuinely needed. Arabic text is marked with the correct language and direction so it is read correctly.

Contrast and colour

Text maintains strong contrast in both light and dark themes. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning — categories, badges and states also use text and icons. Dark mode is available site-wide and respects system preference.

Calm by design

We avoid intrusive popups, autoplaying media, flashing animations and deceptive buttons. Movement is subtle and non-essential. The site is designed to be comfortable during long reading and frequent daily use.

Generous typography

Font sizes start large and scale up on larger screens; line spacing is relaxed with attention to readability of the Arabic script. Text reflows and the layout works from the smallest phones up to wide desktop displays.

Accessible versions of the tools

The prayer tracker, habit tracker, calendar and zakat calculator all use labelled controls and announce state changes (prayer marked complete, habit ticked) rather than relying on colour alone. Toggles are standard switches with pressed-state semantics.

If you hit a barrier — a control without a label, a focus state you cannot see, or text that will not reflow — please tell us. Accessibility is improved fastest when real users report what they hit.
