When travelling
سُبْحَانَ ٱلَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun
Glory be to Him who subjected this to us, though we were not able to do it ourselves; and surely to our Lord we will return.
What this supplication is
The Prophet's (peace be upon him) words upon boarding transport praise the One who subjected it to us — a reminder that every vehicle is a sign and a favour, and that the journey's end is the return to our Lord.
When to recite it
When boarding a car, train, plane or any transport.
