Morning & evening (with You we begin)
ٱللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ
Allahumma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilaykan-nushur
O Allah, with You we enter the morning and with You we enter the evening; with You we live and with You we die, and to You is the resurrection.
What this supplication is
A concise morning and evening dhikr that frames the whole of life inside Allah: 'with You we enter the morning…' itself becomes the day's compass. Some scholars discuss the wording of the narration across collections, which is noted so readers know the variant readings exist.
